Memorial Program

Go on a group tour of Magic Wings Butterfly Sanctuary where you can wander amongst exotic butterflies in a garden, in the warmth of summer, and enjoy their color as they perhaps will land on your hand! Fully accessible.
Matilda

Join your grandchildren and their parents for an afternoon of musical entertainment by Amherst Leisure Services Community Theater (ALSCT) on the UMass campus. ALSCT is known for its annual high quality theatrical performances.
Matilda was highly successful in its long run on Broadway, winning 5 Tony awards in 2012. Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, it tells the story of a precocious girl with special powers.

Historic Northampton is highlighting a new exhibit “Making it on Main Street: 400 years of History”. The exhibit displays many of the changes on Main Street over the years. Instead of concentrating on Northampton’s famous and well-known figures, the exhibit focuses on small landowners, artists, artisans and activists, who, over the decades have changed the face of Main Street to one of a regular public forum for protests and activists. The exhibit is a first at the museum in its newly refurbished space, an 800 square foot multi-purpose room.

Enjoy a workshop at Chena River Marblers where we will witness the talents of Regina and Dan
St. John as they demonstrate traditional and innovative methods of marbling…the art of capturing an intricate pattern by applying color on a liquid surface.
We will participate and create our own one-of-a-kind paper or fabric piece resulting from the process. Many of their products are available in their gift shop.

Founded in 1980, the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst is dedicated to recovering, celebrating and regenerating Yiddish and modern Jewish literature and culture. The million books recovered by the Center represent Jews’ first sustained cultural encounter with the modern world. The Yiddish Center is the recipient of the National Medal for Museums and Libraries.
