I. Basic PowerPoint

September 16-17, 10:00- Noon
This class will be at a beginner’s level and will focus on the skills needed to produce an effective basic slide show.  There will also be time for you to begin a presentation for a fall seminar or for some creative “playing”. Experienced PowerPoint users will be available for assistance.  We will be using the online version of PowerPoint, so having MS Office installed is not strictly necessary, though useful.

II. Enhanced PowerPoint
PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING A LAPTOP WITH MS OFFICE INSTALLED.

September 18-19, 10:00-Noon
This class will assume knowledge of the basics and will help you made use of some of PowerPoint’s more advanced features such as inserting videos, making transitions from slide to slide and using animation to make your slides more interesting and effective. Again, there will be time for working on a fall seminar presentation and for experimentation, with experienced people available for assistance. (Some topics we will cover are not available on the online version of PowerPoint).
